Once Upon a Dream….
Genevieve has always been a competitive athlete since she was little but her passion for riding started at 9 years old on a Morgan Arabian Mare named Valentine. Val and Genevieve prospered over the next 10 years as they competed at 3rd level in Dressage receiving their bronze medal and Training level in Eventing. During these years, Genevieve acquired her current FEI mount Burned You Too, Maggie whom she competed through the Intermediate/FEI 3* Level in Eventing. The highlight of their partnership was winning the Open Intermediate with no added faults to their dressage score at Otter Creek Farm Horse Trials.
Not only has Genevieve competed at the FEI levels of Eventing, she also has groomed for numerous riders at the CCI 5* in Eventing, FEI 5* in Show Jumping and the World Equestrian Games in 2014 & 2018. She has made a career out of professional free-lance grooming. She offers grooming clinics to help nurture future professional grooms and help the young riders of her sport learn horsemanship.
Genevieve has had many different opportunities to work for and train with top trainers. Genevieve was a working student for Olympians Jane Sleeper and Becky Holder, Holly Payne-Caravella, Bobby Meyeroff, and Jacob Fletcher.
Genevieve has studied and trained with well-known riders in the field including William Fox-Pitt, Janet Foy, Kama Godek, Lucinda Green, J.P Sheffield, Leslie Law, Jon Holling, and Alison Springer.
